The Work of Art was organized exclusively for the purpose of raising funds to support the reintegration of art education into classrooms.

The Work of Art was formed due to the widespread issue of budgetary and programming cuts to arts curricula.  It has been proven that art education helps with brain activity, can help students understand other academic subjects like math and science, nurtures innovation, aides in the development of self esteem, communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills.  Increased funding in the arts gives students access to well rounded learning experiences within the classroom.

Achievement of The Work of Art's goal means that students will have the tools necessary to be successful classroom learners, which will translate to their ability to become productive members of society.
